Today, I want to share something very special and meaningful for me — I have been recognised as a Microsoft MVP in Azure Compute Infrastructure.

For those who don’t know, the Microsoft MVP programme recognises people who contribute to the technical community through knowledge-sharing, guidance, content creation, support, mentoring, and helping others grow.
This became part of who I am many years ago.
I’ve been working in IT for 18 years. Almost 7 years ago, I left Brazil and restarted my life here in the UK — new language, new culture, new reality. It wasn’t easy, but I kept the same motivation: learn, evolve, and help other people become more confident with technology.
I started this blog originally just to improve my English writing and share some Azure notes, but Get Practical became much more than that. It became a space where I share real experience from real projects — not just theory. I believe that sharing knowledge has real impact, because many people don’t lack intelligence — they just lack confidence to start.
And if my posts, scripts, explanations or real-world examples help someone move forward even one step faster — then it’s already worth it.
This MVP award is not an end point. It’s a reminder and a responsibility to keep contributing. To continue learning, writing, mentoring, and supporting the community with practical and honest knowledge — exactly how this blog was born.
I’m extremely grateful for everyone who supported me on this path — family, colleagues, friends, and people who trusted me before I trusted myself.
Now the journey continues — and with even more energy.
Thank you for being here.
Obrigado por estarem aqui.
Let’s keep building.
Let’s keep sharing.
Let’s keep learning.
